The Great Northern Arts Festival is looking for individuals and families living in Inuvik who are willing to open their homes to artists and entertainers during the Festival. This would involve housing one or more artists in a private residence for the duration of the Festival, which will run July 11th - 20th. It is a unique opportunity for local people to get to know artists from across Northern Canada and beyond!
We have fewer accommodations at the Aurora College this summer. In addition, some of our participants are older and cannot climb the stairs at the college residence. Others would feel more comfortable spending their time in Inuvik in the setting of a quiet private home. This is an interesting way for local residents to meet artists from across the country, and for visiting artists to get to know the local people personally.
Please note that we provide our participants with all of their meals; you would not be responsible for feeding the artist(s). Billets do not get paid, but for every person you accommodate, you receive 20 ballots to enter your name into a draw for an original piece of artwork created by one of our talented participating artists.
If you could billet one of our participants, please print and fill out the billet form and fax it to the number below.
